Straw is honestly a terrible film. From the first scene, you can already feel how weak the writing is. The story doesn’t go anywhere new and the dialogue sounds fake and forced. It tries to be serious but it just comes across as boring and empty.
The acting makes it worse. Everyone is so over-the-top and the emotions are exaggerated to the point where it becomes annoying.
What bothered me most is how the film treats poverty. It doesn’t show real lives with respect, it just uses suffering as a way to shock the audience. It feels like “poverty porn” showing pain without depth or understanding.
Overall, Straw is not worth your time. Bad writing and bad acting.
