I was lucky to watch this at El Gouna Film Festival. The film is full of real emotion and heartbreaking moments. Kamel El Basha gives a touching performance and Ahmed Malek proves he’s on a different level from other actors of his generation. Mayan adds warmth and Mohamed Siam’s direction feels personal.

The whole film almost takes place in a single day. The script, the direction, the acting, the music, everything is in its right place. It’s one of those rare films where every small detail feels carefully chosen and deeply felt.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, because this story deserves to be discovered slowly. It’s not about big twists or surprises, it’s about emotion, memory and the space between silence and love. The connection between father and son builds quietly, and by the end, it hits you without warning.

Alexandria plays a silent but strong role. The city looks timeless, its light, its walls, its sea. The cinematography captures it like a living memory, full of beauty and melancholy. Every shot looks like a photograph you’d want to keep, perfectly framed and filled with feeling.

The writing is sharp yet delicate. It doesn’t explain too much, it lets the audience feel and think. Siam understands restraint and that’s what makes it powerful. Every scene feels like poetry.

The things left unsaid between a father and son. An amazing film that stays in your heart. I loved it.
